Hi Karla! Just one quick question...can you please tell me how often my clients can safely use the Fix It at home?
Reply to this
All clients will respond somewhat differently. You should always recommend that they start out one to three times a week in the eveing for the first couple of weeks. Once the skin becomes tolerant they can safely use it daily if their skin can handle it. Remember..if the client experiences redness, irritation, or discomfort of any kind they simply need to cut back on the frequency of use. Also, always provide them with the Daily Dose of Water to supplement the skin with proper hydration. This will eliminate unecessary irritation as well. A dehdrated skin can be more sensitive, therefore, they are more prone to being irritated easier. Hope this helps!

Karla-I read about the new Acne Repair Program being launched. Can you tell me more about this and will we be able to incorporate the Clarity products we are currently using? I am looking forward to the webinar to learn more about it. Thank you
Reply to this
This program is the combination of a series of acne facials and peels along with a home care regimen designed to correct conditions associated with acne. . We strongly recommend a series of 6 consecutive acne facials at two week intervals for a total of 3 months for best results. More if necessary and then monthly maintenance treatments. If they are a good candidate for peels as well, it is a good idea to alternate Problem Skin Facial and Salicylic Acid Peel every other visit. Yes, you will be utilizing products from our existing professional collection. This program is sure to clear up even the most stubborn acne! See you on the webinar!

Karla, After a series of 6 Micro treatments what is your suggestion to maintain the results? Could they then do a glycolic series right after?
Reply to this
Hi Dana! Thanks for using our message board! Maintenence is critical following a a series of microdermabrasion. They can do a series of glycolic acid peels following the series of microdermabrasion, however, it is wise to give them at least a 30-day window of time to make sure that the skin is not hyper sensitive. A series of 6 glycolic acid peels at 2 week intervals is ideal!

Is Let There Be Light the best product for age spots?
Reply to this
Hi Denise! Yes! Let There Be Light is a very unique non-chemical skin brightener that contains Alpha Arbutin. It works well on most pigmentary problems for all skin colors! The client should use it everyday, morning and night, immediately after cleansing. Allow it to dry and then they can apply their hydrators, lubricators and sun protection over it. Be sure to always pair the Let There Be Light with our Skin Defense SPF 30 sunblock when exposed to the sun. Most clients will experience some lightening within the first month of use!

Carla,
I have noticed recently many clients with patches of white bumps, Milia? under both eyes. Some clients have 2 inch areas. Can you reccomend any treatment to help my clients?
thanks
susan
Reply to this
Hi Susan,
Milia can be a bit difficult to successfully treat given that the eye area is delicate and sensitive. The best therapy for Milia is to use products that assist in cell proliferation (turnover) in an attempt to move the milia up and out of the skin. You can safely use the Restore It™ 7.5 % Glycolic Acid 2-3 times a week in the evening to help soften and proliferate milia to the surface as well as keeping the area well hydrated with Daily Dose of Water™ 100% Hyaluronic Acid. In addition, the clients may use the Rehab™ Detoxifying Mask around the eye area twice weekly to aid in softening and detoxifying the skin. Hope this helps! Please keep me informed of your progress!

Thanks! Makes sense. Will try that.
I am sure you have seen these patches under the eye, is it milia? I was not certain, but it is common and looks to me like milia.

Susan,
It is hard to tell without seeing it, however, if it looks like a small bead or beads under the skin, that is Milia. Let me know how it goes!

Am I understanding correctly that Restore-it can be used safely around the eye area? Like right under the eye & on the inside corners by the nose?
Reply to this
Yes, with caution. The frequency of use will depend on the client's skin type and sensitivity levels. A very small amount is necessary and start the clients out 3 times a week with it. Again, always make sure that you are following up with a lubricator such as Nourish Your Skin™ over it to prevent dehydration.

I LOVE the message board! THANK YOU it's so helpful & fun to read. MY question is can a client use a sunless tanner & Let There Be Light in tandem? They have pigmentation issues they are working on but still want to have the sun kissed look.
Another question I have is why does the skin feel dry after using Daily Dose or Take Care Daily? These are hydrators so you would think you are going to cause the skin to feel all moist & dewey but that is not the case.
Reply to this
Hi Tracy! Yes, they are ok to be used in tandem. The skin should not feel dry, however, the skin can feel a bit "tight" with the Daily Dose of Water™. It is, however, common that the skin can feel dry within the first couple of weeks of use with the Take Care Daily™ due to the Red Tea content but should subside as the skin becomes tolerant of it. Both should always be followed up with a lubricator in most cases to lock in the moisture and to provide the dewey feel that you mentioned.

Just ran across your products in Plastic Surgery Practice magazine. I have to say that when I went to your website I was most impressed with what I learned. Finally...a company that understands the importance of quality and no parabens!! I can't wait to try it! Thanks!

Can Let There Be Light be used for dark circles under the eye?
Reply to this
H Tracy!
Yes, Let There Be Light™ is successful at treating superfical pigmentation (light brown spots) around the eyes. Dark circles can be caused by hyperpigmentation from sun damage, hormone influctuation, medications, etc. or it can be a vascular issue, whereas, it is more of a dark purple hue around the eyes. You may see some brightening, however, this type of dark circle isn't considered hyperpigmentation because it is not a superfical stain, therefore, it does not respond to tyrosine inhibitors such as Alpha Arbutin that target melanin.
So, twice a day on the effected areas coupled with sunblock is a great combo to see results for pigmentation around the eyes! Hope this clears it up for you!

Can Let there be Light be used on Indian & darker skin types? What would it do? The Indian gal I had today had areas of slight hypopigmentation & I was tyring to determine how she could best get that evened out.
Reply to this
Yes, it can be safely used on all skin colors. It can gradually even out hyperpigmentation in their skin tone by suppressing the melanocyte activity, however, most likely you will not see it have any impact on hypo pigmentation. Hypopigmentation in skin is the result of a reduction in melanin production. I would recommend that they visit their dermatologist as hypo pigmentation is usually linked to other skin disorders that require medical attention such a s the following most prevelant examples:
If it pigmentation loss is due to damage, it has been noted that the use of small doses of glycolic acid on a consistent basis can stimulate the skin and encourage the growth of melanocytes which, in turn, creates pigment in that area.

Why don't we use Cleanse as Needed on our back bar? Do you think we ever will?It makes it easier to sell if the client can actually experince it & it can be talked about as it is applied. Also, it can be too active for some clients, especially in the early stages of the series when their skin is way out of balance, so to use it in treatment prevents returns & unhappy clients. I personally think its a better cleanser to use before peels & MD as it removes the moisture barrier more effectively preparing the skin for a superior exfoliation. Is that incorrect thinking?
Reply to this
Hi Tracy,
Cleanse As Needed can be used in the back bar if you feel that it is appropriate for that particular client. I would be sure to talk this over with your owner because you can always pull in a retail size of the Cleanse As Needed to have in the back bar if you choose. However, I have found that it can make client'sskin a bit more sensitive to the peels. The Cleanse Daily is adaquate for removing debris and makeup and to properly prepare the skin for these procedures as well.

Can Fix-it & Restore It be mixed to get an alpha/beta response like the Pick Me Up Pads?
Reply to this
Yes, these two can be mixed and applied at home, however, it may be more irritating than the Pick Me Up Pads. Although there is 10% glycolic acid in the Pick Me Up Pads and only 7.5% in the Restore It Glycolic Acid, the fact that there is alcohol in the Fix It that makes the combo of the two more irritating than the Pick Me Up Pads, not to mention that it is easier with it already mixed on the pad instead of having them mix it at home.

I just started using your products in my medical spa and wanted to let you know that my clients are loving ClarityRx! I am especially excited about the results that I have seen with Get Fit Multi-Peptide Serum and Let There Be Light Brightening Serum! One question, I have several clients on Retin-A. What product would you recommend to balance the dry, irritating effects of Retin-A?
Reply to this
HI! Thank you for the wonderful feedback! We value your business and glad to see that your clients are happy! The Daily Dose of Water 100% Hyaluronic Acid Serum is the best hyper-hydrator to offset the excessive dehydration that we see from the use of Retin-A. To soothe the redness and irritation that is normally associated with Retin-A use can be balanced with Take Your Vitamins Hydrating Spray because of the anti-inflammatory effects of certain vitamins, minerals and colloidals that are in high concentrations in that formula. Also, On The Mend can bring some cool, soothing relief if they have overdone it with Retin-A. I strongly recommend that they also try the Call Me In The Morning moisturizer daily because of the Azulene Oil to soothe and calm the redness and for the anti-infammatory benefits. Let me know how it goes!

Would it work to use Fix It a couple days after getting waxed for areas prone to ingrown hairs & then apply On the Mend or Nourish the skin over it, or mixed with it? Or would Get Clean be a better choice?
Reply to this
Hi Tracy! You could cause unecessary irritation to the skin by applying our Fix It Pore Perfecting Solution to the skin that soon following waxing. I would give it more like 4-5 days following, then it would be safe. Are you referring to bikini area? Also, yes, you can follow it up with On The Mend or Nourish Your Skin, seperately or mixed together. Get clean would be ok but not as beneficial in preventing ingrown hairs as salicylic acid. As always, please be sure that the skin is completety healed and that there are no signs of reddness or irritation from the waxing procedure before you have them start with Fix It.
